Jerry Jennings

Vice President, Clinical Services

Dr. Jerry Jennings plays a leading role in conceptualizing and building Liberty’s diverse array of specialized and recovery-oriented treatment programs for serious and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, forensic and offender populations, sex offenders, and adolescents. As a nationally recognized clinician and prolific researcher, he works with Liberty’s other clinical experts to design innovative and customized treatment programs, develop proposals, and publish research on the outcomes achieved by our programs. Dr. Jennings has published over 50 books, journal articles, and chapters in the field and has presented at dozens of conferences.

Jerry has 25 years of treatment and clinical supervisory experience with adults and youth in community mental health, outpatient, inpatient, and criminal justice treatment settings. Prior to joining Liberty in 1993, he was a psychologist in community mental health settings and directed one of the largest private urban mental health centers in the Philadelphia area.

Dr. Jennings completed his Postdoctoral Clinical Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and earned his Ph.D. and Master of Psychology from the University of New Hampshire and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and History from Stony Brook University.
